The vicarage garden and poet route
The beautiful park at Kaj Munks Parsonage hides its own history. Planting began in the early 1800s and since then, each new pastor has left his personal mark. The park consists mainly of lush deciduous trees, which despite the harsh weather in West Jutland grow richly.
Kaj Munk has also left his mark on the park with the blue anemone, which he picked up from his hometown on Lolland. He also established a canal so that he could sail directly from the garden and out on Nørresø.
In the beautiful parsonage garden, you will find a poet's route where you can learn more about Kaj Munk, and not least how nature and West Jutland influenced the priest. Go out on the poet route, let your thoughts and senses loose and move into the landscape where one of Denmark's greatest poets found his voice. It's free to follow the poet route - all you need is a phone to scan the QR codes. Read more about the poet route at www.kajmunkspraestegaard.dk.
