Monastery Surfspot

Kloster, at the northwestern end of Ringkøbing Fjord, is best suited for kitesurfing due to the shallow water depth, and Kloster has also become one of kitesurfers' favorite spots in the area.

At Kloster Surfspot it is possible to windsurf, but you get the greatest water depth by sailing out to the southeast.

Drive here via Baggersvej, which is located on the road between Søndervig and Ringkøbing.

Monastery works best at wind directions between WNW and ØSØ, while the wind directions between NW over N to Ø are offshore winds of fluctuating quality.

The kite is set up in a relatively small area, so it is important to take everyone into account. On the other hand, the spot has both toilets, table-bench sets and a cozy packed lunch house, so there is also the opportunity to have fun when you are not on the water.
