King Hans Bro

Distance: 24.05 Km

In scenic surroundings at Skjern Enge, you can visit Denmark's longest wooden suspension bridge, Kong Hans Bro. The bridge was built in 2003 in connection with the restoration of Skjern Å.

The powerful pylons are built of "naval oak", which was planted in 1807 after the loss of the Danish fleet to the English. The bridge is named after King Hans, who tragically died of pneumonia after falling into the water at this location. His memorial stone is erected next to the bridge.
