Atlantis

The city's artwork "Atlantis" has emerged from Beddingssøen at the harbor. Atlantis is created by the artist Leo Andersen, Gallery 63 in Ringkøbing. The idea for the artwork has Leo Andersen from Plato's story of the lost kingdom Atlantis. The artwork consists of 7 steel columns in different heights, which contain 84 stained glass windows. All the pillars are sprinkled with water as if they had just risen from the bottom of the sea. Atlantis is a really beautiful sight at dusk and in the evening and night hours where they are illuminated. Atlantis is a gift from the Nordea Denmark Foundation (2002) in connection with the development of the new waterfront.
